In recognition of the importance that state legislatures have in our political process, President Barack Obama has endorsed 13 Democratic candidates for the State House and Senate in Florida. Following eight years of historic progress for our nation, President Obama knows we must have dedicated legislators at every level of government committed to continuing to build on the gains made during his time in office. This means electing people who are dedicated to making our country stronger, fairer, safer, and cleaner for generations to come.
“I am honored that President Obama has endorsed these great Florida Democrats running for the State Senate,” proclaimed Senate Democratic Leader Designate Oscar Braynon. “No state is more important in this election than Florida and President Obama’s support reflects his continued commitment to advocating for Democratic principles at all levels of government. Real change begins at the local level and our candidates reflect the leadership we need to keep our state moving forward.”
