FLA DEMS TAP TWO NEW VETERAN CAMPAIGN OPERATIVES AS 2012 CAMPAIGN SEASON HEATS UP

Tallahassee, FL – As campaign season kicks into high gear, the Florida Democratic Party has tapped two veteran campaign operatives to bolster the party’s efforts in 2012. Farley Griner has been named Finance Director and David Bergstein has been named Deputy Communications Director.

“We are pleased to welcome these seasoned campaign veterans to the party,” said Florida Democratic Party Chairman Rod Smith. “David and Farley bring with them experience at the state and national level and will be crucial to furthering our efforts to wage aggressive campaigns across the state in 2012.”

A native Floridian, Griner has over five years of experience raising money for candidates and progressive issue-based campaigns. She most recently served as the Director of Development for the Democratic Party of Oregon.

Bergstein has worked in communications on a number of targeted races across the country as well at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Most recently, he served as the Press Secretary on a successful mayoral campaign in hotly contested northern Indiana.
