Tonight, Florida Democratic Party Chair Allison Tant released the following statement congratulating Democrat Amanda Murphy on her election victory in House District 36:

“I congratulate Representative-elect Amanda Murphy on her victory tonight. Amanda has proven that she will be the kind of independent voice that the people of Pasco County deserve. Tonight, Pasco voters sent a clear message to the Republican politicians in Tallahassee that they are tired of the go-along, get-along atmosphere funded by the wealthy special interests. In Amanda Murphy, they have sent a strong advocate for middle class Floridians to Tallahassee, where I am certain she will represent them well.”
