Undemocratic Power Grab Bill Passes in House Committee

Today, Florida Democratic Party Chair Terrie Rizzo released the following statement on the House Committee on State Affairs’ passage of HB 3:

“Local issues should be decided by local municipalities. HB 3 is an economic poison pill for our state, an attack on equality, and an undemocratic power grab by Tallahassee Republicans. Republicans claim to care about protecting jobs, but HB 3 could trigger national boycotts of our state, hurt our tourism, and destroy jobs. HB 3 is a clear and present threat to Florida’s economy — and it must be rejected.”
