Florida Dems will welcome Trump to Florida Tuesday with Baby Trump Balloon.
In advance of Donald Trump’s November 26 rally in Sunrise, Florida, Democratic activists raised more than $3,700 in just 20 hours from 163 donors via a GoFundMe crowdfunding page to bring the Baby Trump balloon to Florida. The average donation was less than $23.
Terrie Rizzo, chair of the Florida Democratic Party, stated it was a sign of the passion Democratic activists have to take on Trump in 2020:
“This is a sign of Trump’s weakness in Florida. Democratic activists in Florida are fired up to send Trump packing in 2020. They are raising funds for a counter-protest, registering voters, knocking on doors, and volunteering with the party at unprecedented levels. Trump may have moved to Florida expecting to be greeted with a red carpet, but instead, he is being greeted with a retirement party.”
Florida Democrats are organizing a counter Rally to Defeat Trump on Tuesday where they plan to fly the balloon. Florida Democrats received a boost on social media from Bette Midler and social media influencers spreading the GoFundMe page far and wide. Overall, GoFundMe reported that the page had been shared nearly 2,000 times.
Florida! the home to only the best people, like Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman. The Con State; where stealing elections is a calling, a tradition, not an accident. Who could forget Pam Biondi, who dropped a suit against Trump U after he gave her 25K. Rally round the baby balloon!! https://t.co/ROyaqDW1a7
