Sen. Kevin Rader and Rep. Tina Polsky held a press conference this morning to discuss SB 184/HB 91 the Holocaust Education Act of 2020. The Florida Democratic Party commends Rader and Polsky for standing up to fight anti-Semitism, white supremacy, and fascism and ensure the world never again commits the atrocities perpetrated during the Holocaust.
Terrie Rizzo, chair of the Florida Democratic Party, released a statement yesterday on the International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Rizzo released the following statement today on the importance of the Holocaust Education Act of 2020:
“Stopping anti-Semitism, fascism, and white supremacy takes constant vigilance and education. The Holocaust Education Act is a needed piece of legislation to ensure our schools are teaching our children about the horrors hate leads to. We must work to stop anti-Semitism, white supremacy, and fascism every time these evils rear their ugly heads. Thank you, Senator Kevin Rader and Representative Tina Polsky for sponsoring this important piece of legislation.”
