Florida Democrats Announce Over 1 Million Democratic Ballots Cast in the General Election
The Florida Democratic Party announced Thursday that 1,043,514 Democrats have now voted in the general election in Florida. And as of today, only 623,395 Republicans have voted.
In light of this announcement, Florida Democratic Party Chair Terrie Rizzo issued the following statement:
It is unprecedented and historic that over one million Democrats have already voted in this election here in Florida. This shows the enthusiasm there is to elect Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and all Democrats on the ballot. Our hard work is far from over. As in person early voting begins we will be chasing every ballot, ensuring every Florida Democrat gets to the polls by November 3rd.
In 2016 1,049,809 Florida Democrats voted by mail in the whole election. Today with 1,043,514 Democratic votes cast in Florida, 19 days out from election day, we are just 6,295 votes away from the 2016 total.
