Florida Democratic Party Statement on the Passing of Secretary Madeleine Albright
The following statement should be attributed to Florida Democratic Party Chair Manny Diaz:
“Throughout her long life and distinguished career, Madeleine Albright was a trailblazer and an inspiration. As the first woman to serve as U.S. Secretary of State, she defended democratic values with immense courage, and her work on behalf of her fellow refugees and victims of oppressive regimes provided an example to all of us in Florida on how to stand for justice around the world. Our thoughts are with Secretary Albright’s family and friends at this time.”
