Marco Rubio Skips Hearing On Funding Medicare And Lowering Drug Costs
Marco Rubio failed to show up to today’s hearing of a Senate Appropriations subcommittee featuring testimony from the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The hearing covered funding for critical HHS measures including programs to make health insurance more affordable, lower the cost of prescription drugs, and strengthen Medicare and Medicaid.
“Floridians deserve a Senator who will fight for them and work to lower their health care costs. Instead, Marco Rubio refuses to show up for work and has spent his career working to undermine Medicare and make health care more expensive,” said Florida Democratic Party spokesperson Grant Fox.
