Marco Rubio Skips Committee Hearing To Do Gun Lobby’s Bidding On TV
Marco Rubio failed to show up to this morning’s hearing of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the seventh public hearing of the committee he’s missed in a row. Instead, Rubio went on TV to double down on his opposition to popular commonsense legislation to prevent gun violence and save lives.
“In the wake of a tragic mass shooting in Texas, Marco Rubio is too scared to stand up to his NRA donors and take action. Instead, he’s skipping out on his job to parrot their talking points on TV and attack commonsense gun safety measures that could save Floridians’ lives,” said Florida Democratic Party spokesperson Grant Fox.
