On the heels of Wisconsin voters overwhelmingly rejecting the anti-choice Supreme Court candidate, and as Ron DeSantis brings his anti-abortion agenda to Michigan tomorrow, it’s worth remembering just how unpopular DeSantis’ extreme agenda is – in and out of Florida.
Here’s What Voters Think of DeSantis’s Extreme Agenda:
In Florida, 75% of Floridians oppose an extreme six-week abortion ban. DeSantis is set to sign to sign a six-week abortion ban after signing a 15 week ban with no exceptions for rape or incest last year.
77% of Floridians oppose DeSantis’s recently signed permitless carry bill. The overwhelming majority of Floridians oppose legislation that would repeal the current training requirements necessary to carry a gun, and that would allow people convicted of one or more first-degree violent misdemeanors to carry a concealed weapon
Outside of Florida, only 34% of Americans support DeSantis’ extreme six-week abortion ban. The majority of Americans oppose a ban on abortion after six weeks of pregnancy, including for victims of rape and incest who can’t provide official documentation of the crime committed against them, similar to the ban DeSantis is set to sign.
66% of Americans oppose permitless carry legislation like the bill DeSantis signed this week. Most Americans are opposed to allowing people to carry a concealed firearm without a license or safety training, which DeSantis’s new bill allows.
