FLORIDA DEMOCRATS LAUNCH STATEWIDE TOUR WITH COMMITMENT TO INVEST $1 MILLION IN VOTER REGISTRATION

Today, Florida Democrats announced the ‘Take Back Florida’ Tour with a commitment to invest $1 million in voter registration efforts and plans to stop at 18 counties across the state over the next month.

Florida Democratic Party Chair Nikki Fried will criss-cross the state with local elected officials and party leaders from August 2-30 in her first statewide tour since being elected as Chair earlier this year.

“This tour is about firing up Floridians and empowering them with the tools and training to help take back our state. Unlike Ron DeSantis, we are actually here – working on the ground and talking to voters about the issues they really care about,” FDP Chair Nikki Fried stated.

“We are going to take back Florida by showing up in every corner and building a grassroots coalition that is going to mobilize to register voters, re-enroll Floridians back to vote-by-mail, and organize the people in their community,” Chair Fried added.

Chair Fried re-allocated $1 million of the party’s budget to boost voter registration efforts, including through grants to local Democratic Executive Committees (DECs) in one of her first actions as Chair, declaring a turf war against the GOP with a commitment to continuing to fund field organizing on the ground year-round.

The tour will stop at 18 counties including Broward, Collier, Duval, Escambia, Gilchrist, Hernando, Hillsborough, Jefferson, Lee, Leon, Miami-Dade, Orange, Palm Beach, Pinellas, Santa Rosa, Seminole, St. Lucie and Volusia.
