Florida Democrats Welcome Vice President Harris to Florida International University
Miami, FL — As part of her Fight For Our Freedoms college tour, Vice President Harris will visit Florida International University in Miami today — her third visit to Florida in as many months. In response, the Florida Democratic Party has issued the following statement:
“It is once again my honor to welcome Vice President Harris to Florida,” said FDP Chair Nikki Fried. “Earlier this year, the Vice President promised me that she would have our backs as Florida Democrats work to take back Florida. She’s kept that promise and then some.
“I applaud the Vice President’s choice to visit FIU, one of the largest Hispanic-serving institutions in the nation and a shining example of what our state university system can offer when not being targeted by government overreach. Our students are the future of our state and the country — they deserve access to a quality, affordable education and a free exchange of ideas.”
