Florida Democrats Respond to Trump’s Plan to Eliminate Health Care Coverage for Millions of Floridians
Over the weekend, Donald Trump renewed calls to eliminate the Affordable Care Act (ACA), threatening health care coverage for millions of Americans. In response, the Florida Democratic Party released the following statement:
“The Affordable Care Act has provided life-saving health care to millions of Floridians for over a decade,” said FDP Chair Nikki Fried.
“Miami-Dade County would be hardest hit by Trump’s anti-health care agenda. Nearly 750,000 residents — mostly hispanic, especially in Doral and Hialeah — would be left without coverage if Trump gets his way.
“While Republicans continue trying to gut lifesaving policies, Democrats and President Biden are fighting to make health care more affordable and accessible for Floridians and all Americans.”
