FLORIDA DEMOCRATIC PARTY ENDORSES CARLOS GUILLERMO SMITH FOR FLORIDA SENATE DISTRICT 17
Today, the Florida Democratic Party is proud to endorse former Representative Carlos Guillermo Smith for Florida Senate District 17.
A respected civil rights leader and UCF graduate, Carlos Guillermo Smith is a proven champion of freedom and equality for all Floridians. Since his campaign launch in April 2023, Carlos has earned endorsements from nearly every local elected Democratic leader and organized labor union, and raised over $350,000 from more than 1,600 individual donors, 93% of which was raised from Floridians.
“Orlando deserves representation in the Florida Senate that they know and trust, who will stand up for hard-working Floridians, and who will fight back against the GOP’s extreme agenda,” said FDP Chair Nikki Fried.
