FLORIDA DEMOCRATS SLAM MATT GAETZ FOR HOLDING TOWN HALL WITH DONALD TRUMP JR.
Tonight, Rep. Matt Gaetz will host a town hall in Pensacola with Donald Trump Jr. In response, the Florida Democratic Party has issued the following statement:
“While the government is hurtling towards a partial shutdown, Matt Gaetz is rubbing elbows with Donald Trump, Jr.,” said FDP Chair Nikki Fried. “He’s clearly desperate to hold on to the Trump family blessing as he looks towards the hostile political future he helped create.
“Millions of Floridians will be affected if Matt Gaetz’s congressional dysfunction finally leads to the government shutdown he’s wanted for months. I hope he enjoys his waterfront view while service members try to figure out how they’ll pay their bills in two weeks.”
