ICYMI: Naples Women Protest Rick Scott’s Support of Florida’s Abortion Ban
Yesterday, protesters gathered outside Rick Scott’s Naples office to call out Scott for his support of Florida’s abortion ban. Scott has repeatedly endorsed the ban, which eliminates reproductive health care access before most women know they’re pregnant, with virtually no exceptions.
The protest was held in response to Scott’s recently launched bid to become the next Republican Senate Leader. As GOP Leader, Scott would push his extreme anti-abortion agenda nationwide. Scott has said he would sign “any” anti-abortion bill and has sponsored a national abortion ban that would put doctors in prison.
