BREAKING: Rick Scott Throws Tantrum, Pledges to Block Legislation Critical to Floridians
Rick Scott is once again putting himself before the Floridians he was elected to serve with his vow to block all legislation and nominations in the Senate. With critical legislation, including disaster relief, the Farm Bill, and government funding on the Senate’s summer agenda, Scott is focused on partisan games and his bid for Republican leader at the expense of Floridians.
“Rick Scott doesn’t stand up for Florida, he only cares about himself. Unfortunately, Scott’s obstructionist pledge is not just a political stunt, it’s a selfish dereliction of duty that will only hurt Floridians,” said Florida Democratic Party Chair Nikki Fried. “Since Scott refuses to roll up his sleeves and get to work for Florida, Floridians will send him into retirement this November.”
