Senate Republicans block the Reproductive Freedom for Women Act
Today, Rick Scott missed four votes in the Senate, including one which helped Senate Republicans block the Reproductive Freedom for Women Act – bipartisan legislation to protect access to reproductive health care. In June, Scott voted against bipartisan bills to protect access to contraception and IVF treatment. The Florida Democratic Party released the following statement in response:
“Rick Scott’s extreme anti-choice agenda is crystal clear: he will stop at nothing to rip away women’s right to make their own personal medical decisions,” said Florida Democratic Party Chair Nikki Fried. “In November, Floridians will hold Scott accountable for his attacks on reproductive freedom.”
