Rick Scott Voted Against Historic Legislation to Lower Costs, Make Prescription Drugs More Affordable, and Create Jobs
The Florida Democratic Party released the following statement celebrating the two-year anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act being signed into law:
“Floridians are facing an affordability crisis and living on the frontlines of climate change, yet Rick Scott opposed this once in a generation investment in our economic future,” said Florida Democratic Party Chair Nikki Fried. “The Inflation Reduction Act is lowering costs for working families, making prescription drugs more affordable for millions of Florida seniors, creating thousands of good-paying Florida jobs, and tackling climate change. Rick Scott voted against investing in Florida’s future because he only cares about his own self-serving agenda, and Floridians will hold him accountable in November.”
