Florida Democrats head into General Election more energized and organized than ever
Following the Democratic National Convention and the August primary elections, the Florida Democratic Party released the latest organizing numbers as of August 31, 2024:
Florida Democrats are heading into September more energized and organized than ever. In August 2024, Democrats in Florida have completed:
“In the last month alone, Florida Democrats across the state have contacted millions of voters to get out the vote. We are seeing an unprecedented level of enthusiasm for the Harris-Walz ticket and we will continue this momentum as we head into the November elections,” said FDP Chair Nikki Fried.
These organizing efforts resulted in a successful August primary election that saw victories for 7 out of the 11 school board candidates that Florida Democrats supported, and the reelection of Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava with nearly 60% of the vote on the first ballot.
The latest numbers include organizing efforts reported by the Harris-Walz for Florida campaign, Florida Democratic county parties, candidates, and committees and show Florida Democrats ramping up statewide organizing efforts heading into November.
