ICYMI: Johnson vows health care overhaul if Republicans win: ‘No Obamacare’ [CNN]

CNN has reported House Speaker Mike Johnson told a group of supporters in Pennsylvania on Monday night that there will be “no Obamacare”. The new footage confirms Republican plans to make major changes to health care law if Donald Trump is reelected.

“Over 4 million Floridians depend on Obamacare,” said Florida Democratic Party Chair Nikki Fried. “Speaker Johsnon said the quiet part out loud, confirming what we have known for months — the Affordable Care Act is on the chopping block if Floridians choose Trump again. A vote for Trump is a vote to eliminate access to life-saving, affordable health care for so many Floridians who rely on it.”

Florida has the highest number of enrollees in Obamacare, with a record-breaking 4.2 million Floridians signed up for coverage through the ACA marketplace. Miami-Dade County would be hardest hit by Trump’s anti-health care agenda. Nearly 750,000 residents — mostly hispanic, especially in Doral and Hialeah — would be left without coverage.

SPEAKER JOHNSON: “Health care reform is going to be a big part of the agenda. When I say we’re going to have a very aggressive first 100 days agenda, we’ve got a lot of things on the table.

VOTER: No Obamacare?
