FLORIDA DEMOCRATIC PARTY CONGRATULATES DEMOCRATIC LEGISLATORS ON FIRST DAY OF ORGANIZING SESSION
Today marks the beginning of Florida’s 2024-2026 legislative term. This morning, new members of the Florida Legislature were sworn in and returning members were welcomed back for another two years of service. In response, the Florida Democratic Party released the following statement:
“Congratulations to our new and returning members of the Florida Legislature,” said FDP Chair Nikki Fried. “As we enter this legislative term, Floridians are counting on Democrats to provide an alternative to the reckless spending and economic malpractice of the Republican Party. The House and Senate Democratic Caucuses contain some of the finest public servants in the state who will show up every day to fight for a more affordable Florida, while Republicans do nothing to solve the problems Floridians are facing.”
