Democrats continue to dominate ground game, opening field offices in every corner of the state
This week, as the Florida Democratic Party continues to expand its state-wide coordinated campaign, it will open forty offices across the state. The office openings will kick-off Wednesday, October 3rd, continuing through the weekend with a full slate of Get Out The Vote grassroots activities.
“Opening 40 offices in one week is a monumental feat and it is truly a team effort — with massive support from the entire Democratic Winning Ticket including Senator Bill Nelson, Mayor Andrew Gillum, our Cabinet nominees, state legislative candidates and Democrats running for local office across the state,” said FDP Chair Terrie Rizzo. “The Florida Democratic Party began our coordinated ground game in early May — the earliest ever in a midterm election — and our plan to open 40 new offices this week is the next step in our plan to turn Florida, BLUE!”

The upcoming week of office openings comes after the Florida Democratic Party completed a two-day training for over 200 field organizers, deployed all across Florida, leaving no part of the state uncovered by Democrats.
Two weeks ago, the Florida Democratic Party Coordinated Campaign announced 8 million voters contacted. The 2018 Coordinated Campaign has full participation from Florida Democrats across the ticket – from U.S. Senator Bill Nelson’s campaign and Mayor Andrew Gillum’s Campaign, to all of our Democratic Cabinet nominees – as well as support from DCCC, House Victory, Senate Victory and our progressive partners.
