Today, the Florida Democratic Party announced an expanded vote by mail enrollment advantage of 500,000 enrollments over the Republican Party of Florida, with over 1.86 million Democrats now registered to vote by mail. This expanded margin announcement comes just two weeks after Democrats announced a 400,000 enrollment margin over Republicans.
In light of this announcement, the Chair of the Florida Democratic Party Terrie Rizzo issued the following statement:
“With just 101 days left until the November election, we are seeing more energy than ever to flip Florida blue. Our volunteers and partner organizations and the FDP team have worked tirelessly to enroll Democrats into vote-by-mail, and we are excited to keep this momentum going. This November, we will say goodbye to Donald Trump and elect Joe Biden, along with hundreds of Democrats running for state and local office.”
In 2016, Democrats held a slim 8,800 margin over Florida Republicans. In 2018, they grew that margin to nearly 50,000. And with just over 100 days until election day, Florida Democrats hold a 500,000 enrollment edge over Florida Republicans.
