For once, Florida Republicans and Democrats agree on something: in the words of Adam Putnam, the Florida GOP “got our teeth kicked in” last election. And this weekend, at the party’s leadership coronation in Orlando, the RPOF’s response to losing races up-and-down the ballot was to take a cue from the Republican controlled Congress and do… well, nothing. By re-electing the same cast of characters that lost them races across the state last cycle, the FL GOP is heading into ’14 hamstrung by a losing team and a Governor whose approval rating pollsters call “just plain awful.”
It seems the FL GOP of today is the FL GOP of yesterday — just with a little less teeth.
