Florida Democratic Veterans Caucus Denounces Trump’s Military Remarks 

As Republicans drive the country into a government shutdown that threatens the health care of millions, Florida Democrats are making clear where they stand: with families, workers, and veterans. Today, the President of the Florida Democratic Party Veterans Caucus issued a statement condemning Donald Trump’s reckless remarks to military leadership and disrespect to those who serve.

President of the Florida Democratic Party Veterans Caucus, Danny Fuqua, said: 

“I condemn in the strongest terms today’s remarks by Donald Trump to our military leadership. His statements threatening war against American cities, including framing them as “training grounds,” amount to a reckless politicization of our armed forces.”

Veterans know that honor, duty, and respect transcend party lines. Our service members deserve leadership grounded in integrity, not rhetoric designed to intimidate or divide.

The sacred duty of armed service to country should never be used as a partisan tool, and we reject any effort to that effect. Our veterans, active-duty personnel, and their families deserve respect, not manipulation.
