Florida Democratic Party Announces 2026 “Take Back Florida Distinction” Slate

Tallahassee, FL – Today, the Florida Democratic Party announced the fourteen candidates selected for its 2026 Take Back Florida Distinction program, spotlighting the most competitive red-to-blue flip opportunities up and down the ballot.

Selected through a rigorous application and vetting process, these candidates will receive grassroots organizing and fundraising support from the party as they work to flip seats from red to blue this November, furthering the Florida Democratic Party’s core mission to Take Back Florida.

“This is our strongest bench of flip opportunities yet,” said Florida Democratic Party Chair Nikki Fried. “These candidates are knocking doors, making calls, and talking directly with voters about the issues that matter most to their lives. They’re proof that no seat is out of reach when you show up and do the work, and this November, we’re going to flip these seats blue.”
